Jacaranda de Madagascar is first and foremost a passion. A passion for nature and a passion for travel. Each tour itinerary of Jacaranda has a color, the color of the region it traverses: green for the forests of eastern Madagascar; red for the vast expanses of the west, blue for the beauty of the coastline to the north and yellow for the thorny semi-desert to the south.
Jacaranda has 4 main activities:
tour operator, ticketing,
car rental, hotel and
guest house.
We have offices and representatives in Antananarivo, Nosy Be, Diégo Suarez, Sambava, Ranohira, Paris, Budapest and Barcelona.
We are member of the main professional unions:
TOP, FHORM,
GLVM, GOTO,
SNAV, APST.
Ecotourism is omnipresent in the Jacaranda concept, and in the broad sense, not in the narrow sense of the term – since beyond ecology, our ecotourism covers the human dimension.
Jacaranda de Madagascar is a “100% Malagasy” business and it is our pleasure that thanks to the positive effects of tourism, we also help improve life conditions in our beloved country.
Jacaranda’s main purpose is “To give the Malagasy people the means to develop their country in order to improve their living conditions, which are sometimes very difficult”.

“To make the most of our trip to Madagascar, we collaborated with a great, specialized local agency: Jacaranda de Madagascar. OUR SOLIDARY PROJECT :

“JARDIN DE LUMIERES”

“Our “Jardin de Lumieres” project aims contributing to the economic development and sustainable development of villages in Madagascar. The objective of our project is to bring light to as many huts as possible in the Ranohira region, in the form of solar lamps. Since 2006, the project has aroused great enthusiasm and we have been collecting donations from all over the world. Until present, we distributed more then 3000 solar lamps in the villages.”

Born following a solidarity trip organized by our travel agency in 2006, the “Jardin de Lumieres” project aims contributing to the economic development and sustainable development of villages in Madagascar. The objective of our project is to bring light to as many huts as possible in the Ranohira region, in the form of solar lamps. In Madagascar, more then 70% of the households don’t have electricity or running water. Consequently, a solar lamp is able to bring a huge change in the daily life of a family. The Ranohira region is one of Madagascar poorest, but also one of the most beautiful region; it is home to the Isalo National Park, one of Madagascar’s most visited park. This is why we decided to centralize our project to this area. The project aroused great enthusiasm and we have been collecting donations from all over the world. We donate two types of lighting: one solar lamp for each hut and one lamppost per village – to change the lives of families after dark.
The first village was inaugurated on October 14th and 15th 2006. It is a living project which continues until present. All our tourists who are interested in participating in this project, can take part by making a donation of solar lamps during their circuit, they can donate them personally to the village or the family. Ultimately, we would also like to organize a light walk to take travelers to the illuminated villages.
