Tour of the island

This is a whole day sightseeing around the perfumed island to visit the distillery of Ylang-Ylang, the city market in Hellville, the sacred tree, the small waterfall and so on. You finish the day with sunset watching at Mount Passot, the highest point of the island, with its panoramic view of several crater lakes.
Excursion to Nosy Komba & Nosy Tanikely
1 day long, lunch included
A one day boat trip to discover two islands: Nosy Komba, the Island of lemurs in the morning. Picnic lunch and transfer to Nosy Tanikely (the small island) for a free afternoon. This pretty little island, a natural aquarium classified protected marine reserve, is ideal for snorkeling or diving (on request),
Sail back to Nosy Be.
Visit of Lokobe Reserve

Lokobe Reserve is a National Park with a nice evergreen forest. It is located in the southeastern side of Nosy Be. It is known for its black lemurs and the beautiful Nosy Be panther chameleon.
Excursion to Nosy Iranja
1 day long, lunch included
Nosy Iranja is said to be one of the most beautiful little islands of the world! One hour by boat southwest of Nosy Be, at low tide Nosy Iranja is a single island but splits into two as rising waters cover the connecting white sandbank. The islands are an important breeding site for hawksbill turtles and scientists are currently working on a turtle monitoring project.

The baobab is a majestic tree. It has a very long growth period and it can live as long as 1,000-1,500 years. A unique feature: seven or eight of all the baobab tree species in the world can be found in Madagascar. This is the only country in the world where so many species grow, what’s more, six of them are endemic (can only be found here).
The baobab tree is typical of West and South Madagascar; it is not endemic on Nosy Be island. However, several species can be seen on Ankisomany beach, also called ‘Baobab Beach’. Twenty-three spectacular trees representing three different species (Andansoniaza, Andansoniamadagascariensis, Andansoniadigitata) grow here. The oldest one can be as old as 700 years … !

Visit of Lemuria Land

Lemuria Land is a nature reserve in a lush tropical forest area. In addition to the century-old ylang-ylang trees, we can see eleven different lemur species as well as chameleons, crocodiles, tortoises and geckos. The flora is also very rich in plants typical of Nosy Be: several species of palms, vanilla, papaya tree, mango tree, cacao tree, bamboos etc.
Whale watching

If you arrive in the whale season (July-October), do not miss whale watching. This is a unique occasion to meet one of the biggest animals of the Earth: the humpback whale. Every year, a multitude of humpback whales swim to the coasts of Madagascar. These huge sea mammals can be as long as 15 m and can weigh as much as 40 tons. They travel from polar (Antarctic) waters more than 5,000 km to breed and to give birth to their young in tropical or subtropical waters. In a touring motor boat we ride to the ocean as near as possible to these marvellous creatures so we can observe them above and under water: turning, making different maneouvres, playful and joyful breaching , slapping the water with their fins or tails and even the intimate connection between mothers and their newborn calves. During the ride we can hear an expert presentation about the behaviour and character of the humpback whales.
